From street art to tattooing, passing through screen printing, sculpture, and graphic design, Harow is a French artist born in the early 80’s who has grown up with a hip hop and geek culture. Attracted by the Japaneses anime scene, his global mindset was informed by a healthy dose of comics. Spending most of his time exploring industrial art and graffiti, Harow is a self-taught artist who stimulates his creativity based on the day-to-day basis.
He predominantly approaches his artwork using a street art perspective with an underpinning of re-contextualization through aesthetic symbols, manga pop from his childhood. Freehand aerosol and traditional brush techniques are evident with his works, primarily incorporating mixed media such as acrylics, aerosol, inks, markers, among other things.
To this day, Harow believes that he hasn’t finished becoming a “grown-up.”
